The word heima is Icelandic for the feeling of 'being at home', or 'going home'. We chose this name because we believe home is where it's at. It's where your people are. It's where life happens. The joyful, the mournful, the silly and the serious. Home life is beautifully significant, and it should be remembered that way.
Whether it's gathering in the physical space of your house or adventuring together outdoors, connecting with family should be documented well, and often. Because kids don't stay little forever. Babies outgrow their chubby rolls. Pregnancy lasts only a short season. And in a blink, couples have grown old together.
Our mission is simple: to document your life because it's beautiful, and the connections you share have tremendous significance. We want to preserve what heima means to you.
